I am an independent radio producer, as senior partner in Square Dog Radio, published author in computer history, freelance radio reporter, photographer and not least web designer. Based in Kinross-shire, just north of Edinburgh, Scotland but experienced in working in many parts of the world so happy to travel and/or work digitally for remote clients. I also do training in most of the above, including in particular all aspects of radio production.
I am also an early-career historian, with a doctorate in Modern History at the University of Edinburgh, awarded as a mature student and part-time.

the Truth About Tourette's - BBC Radio 4
I have recently been Exec Producer on 'the Truth About Tourette's' a fascinating and eye-opening programme that aims to dispel the misconceptions around the condition, and celebrate the achievements of people who have made the most of what the presenter Aidy Smith calls his 'superpower' - the creative brilliance that many with Tourette's display.
The programme was made by producer John Offord, working closely with Aidy, for the indie company Rosa Productions, headed by Rosemary Richards. Its first transmission is on BBC Radio 4 at 11 am on 31st May 2022, repeated on R4 at 9pm on Monday June 6. The BBC programme page is here.
